Fulbright Canada All Disciplines Scholar Award

The Fulbright Canada All Disciplines Scholar Award offers American academics, researchers, and experienced professionals the opportunity to teach, lecture, and/or conduct research at any Canadian university, think tank, or government agency for one semester during the 2026-2027 academic year. The award provides USD 12,500 to support the exchange, alongside structured orientation programming in Ottawa and a spring seminar in Washington, D.C., connecting grantees with the wider Fulbright Canada community. As part of the binational, treaty-based Fulbright Program, the award reflects more than 75 years of academic exchange between Canada and the United States, and is open to virtually any academic discipline, from the sciences and engineering to humanities, law, and public policy. Applicants are expected to identify a Canadian host institution and outline a clear research, teaching, or collaborative project before applying. This award suits mid-career and senior American academics and professionals seeking a structured, single-semester research or teaching placement in Canada without requiring institutional affiliation changes.
