Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme

The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme, managed by the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust in partnership with the University of Oxford, supports outstanding graduates and early-career professionals from developing and emerging economies across Africa, Asia, and Latin America to pursue a fully funded Master's degree at Oxford. The scholarship covers 100% of course fees plus a living costs grant of at least GBP 20,780 per year, and uniquely pairs academic study with a structured Leadership Programme delivering roughly 160 hours of philosophical discussion, business skills training, and communication coaching across the academic year. Scholars join a global alumni network of more than 475 former Weidenfeld-Hoffmann scholars and receive financial support to attend major international forums such as COP summits, the World Economic Forum, or relevant UN platforms during their year at Oxford. More than 40 eligible Master's-level courses are available, spanning fields from public policy and economics to environmental change and international development; doctoral (DPhil) study is not covered. Applicants must be ordinarily resident in an eligible developing or emerging economy and intend to return there after their studies, demonstrating a clear link between their chosen course and their long-term contribution to their home country or region. To apply, candidates select the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann option within the standard University of Oxford graduate application and submit a dedicated Scholarship Statement alongside it by the relevant December or January deadline for their chosen course; for the 2027 entry cycle the main deadline falls around 8 January 2027, though some courses close earlier in December. Shortlisted candidates are typically interviewed online in spring.
